- In North America, Toyota produces automobiles and their parts in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In the USA, Toyota started building trucks due to a tariff on imported trucks. Shortly after, the company began building cars as well due to the reduction in shipping costs. Many of the parts for these vehicles are produced in Canada and Mexico.
- Toyota has based a majority of its research and development in Japan, as well as its major manufacturing plants. Toyota is the number one brand in Japan and it sells a tremendous amount of cars and trucks in Japan and the surrounding countries.
Europe and The Middle East
- Toyota also builds cars in Europe. It has factories in Poland, Czech Republic and Russia. Toyota recently started producing cars in the Middle East as well. It built factories in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
